Founder & Dentist

Dr. Natalie Rogers is the owner and primary dentist at Stellar Dental.  After relocating to Charlotte early in 2014, she proudly opened her first office in the University area.  Since then she and her family have come to learn the city of Charlotte and fell in love with the NoDa area, eventually settling in neighboring Villa Heights.  She quickly realized the need for dental care in the community and couldn't resist such a great commute!   In October 2018, that dream finally became a reality when Stellar Dental of NODA opened its doors!

Dr. Rogers is a first generation American, born to Cuban immigrants in New Jersey.   She was always passionate about science and biology, but uncertain about where that would take her.  In her final year of high school, she was invited by her own dentist to assist in her practice.  This was her introduction to the world of dentistry and so a new passion began.

She achieved her undergraduate degree at Cornell University in upstate New York and enrolled in the Harvard School of Dental Medicine immediately after, graduating in 2008.  During her time in dental school she was honored with the Massachusetts Health Access Award, which placed her within a community health center for two years following graduation.  This opportunity allowed her to treat a range of patients, many of whom had never seen a dentist.  Simultaneously during her time there and the five years to follow, Dr. Rogers practiced in a private practice setting in both Massachusetts and Charlotte.

Dr. Rogers met her husband while they were both graduate students in Boston; they were married in 2004.  They have a 7 year old son and a 4 year old daughter.  Their family is completed by their four dogs.  During her free time, Dr. Rogers enjoys playing with her two children, reading books and spending as much time as possible outdoors: running, biking and hiking.

As a provider, Dr. Rogers' focus is on whole family dentistry, treating patients of all ages.  It is her honor to provide the highest quality, most ethical and comprehensive care possible, and to get to know her patients as friends.   She very much looks forward to meeting you, and seeing you around the neighborhood!"

Elizabeth Hoy grew up in the suburbs outside of Philadelphia. After high school, she obtained her Biology degree from Penn State University. During her time there, she played rugby and was a member of the national championship team. She then completed her dental degree at the University of Pittsburgh in 2010. After graduation, she furthered her training by completing an optional one-year general dentistry residency at Bay Pines Veterans Hospital in St. Petersburg, FL. For the next four years, she worked as a general dentist at a community health center in Tampa, FL caring for the underserved patient populationin that area.

Dr. Hoy and her husband moved to Charlotte in 2016 to escape the humidity. In her spare time, she enjoys chasing her toddler and exploring new Charlotte resturants. Dr. Hoy is currently an active member of the American Dental Association.

Dr. Hoy provides high quality, conservative comprehensive care and is looking forward to meeting you at Stellar Dental!

Lead Dental Assistant & Reception

Originally born is Mexico, Leydi immigrated to the states with her family when she was only 7 years old.  Leydi recognized a passion for teaching at an early age; however she was not certain the profession would fulfill her.  Instead, as she was always interested in having a better smile, Leydi became interested in the dental field.  Shortly after high school, Leydi followed her dream and graduated from Charlotte Dental Assistant School in November 2018.  It was not long after Stellar Dental was honored to add her to the team!  Now-a-days, you can find her working reception and managing our assistants.  Her passion for teaching has not been wasted as she continues to spread her knowledge to all our new staff!  In the future, Leydi hopes to become a dental hygienist.

In her free time, Leydi enjoys watching Criminal Minds and spending time with her loved ones including her two little furry pets.

Office Manager

On a blistery winter morning, in a city surrounded by distinctive yellow steel bridges, Penny watched the sun glisten and reflect off the tranquil Allegheny River.  Penny was pondering her future; how to make her mark on the world. Those majestic steel bridges helped to build the city of Pittsburgh, where Penny's family lived, but 32 years ago, those same bridges wisked her away to North Carolina.  It was here that she would make her mark on the world; dedicating herself to the art of Dental Assisting. Over the years, Penny transitioned from assisting to reception, where she was able to be the office's "Rothlesburgher." As a receptionist she gained an extensive knowledge in dental insurance and is certified in Medical Coding. Penny prides herself on giving patients awesome customer service and treats patients as if they were her own family.

Penny and her husband Joe have a four-legged baby named Bubba.  Out of the office she enjoys cooking, listening to music and is an avid sports fan.  She especially loves cheering on her cherished Pittsburgh Steelers, Pirates, and Penguins.

Niesje is the receptionist at Stellar Dental, and her smiling face will be the first thing you see when you walk into the office.  The youngest of 16 kids, Niesje was born under the northern lights of Fairbanks, Alaska.  Sick of the 10.5 months of winter each year, her family moved to Richmond, VA and later to Raleigh, North Carolina.

Niesje has since settled into Charlotte where she lives with her husband, daughter, younger sister, and new born baby boy.  She completed dental assisting school in November 2018 and hopes to one day bring that same smiling face to the assistant’s chair where she can help our patients feel cared for and comfortable....she just needs to get back from her maternity leave!
